Due to unforseen circumstances, the extra BBQ shoot for June has been cancelled. Shame really, we don't get many sunny days.

At the end of the shoot a request was made for the bi-monthly meeting to be held back at The Pickburn Arms. This was passed, so all bi-monthly meetings will now be held back there.

As you may be aware, the club has recently suffered a large loss of equipment from the shooting grounds and we no longer store the remaining traps etc. on site. This situation has led to a large increase in the effort required to prepare, dismantle and transport the equipment. Unfortunately, this additional effort has fallen on the shoulders of relatively small number of members. This has now become an intolerable situation. The recent club meeting determined that a further call for members to assist in these tasks be made and for a further reminder to be given that it is a condition of club membership that you give assistance in this way. The situation has become so serious that where members are not prepared to assist as required, club membership may not be renewed.

THEFT Sometime Before Sunday 28th March 2010
As you may well know, The shooting clubs cabins were broken into. We had 3 clay pigeon traps,
6 leisure batteries and all the clubs clothing stolen. If you have any information about this, please contact us either
personally or via the website. A REWARD IS BEING OFFERED FOR INFO OF THE ITEMS BEING RETURNED.
Below is a brief description of what was taken :-

Trap 1 - manufactured by Hotshots std trap Remote Control (no handset) 12v red on a 2 wheeled trolley.
Trap 2 - Manufactured by Hotshots ball trap oscillating 24v red on a 2 wheeled trolley.
Trap 3 - Manufactured by Hotshots midi trap 24v red on a 2 wheeled trolley.
6 leisure batteries 110 amp.
Various club logo'd clothing - hats / knitted jumpers / hooded jumpers / tee shirts
Boxes of clays / boxes of cartridges / various tools etc

It was passed at the bi-monthly meeting that the bi-monthly meetings be held at Ackworth Village Club.  See Calendar for directions.

Sunday 17th January 2010
Shoot No. 26 of 2009 will take place on this day. The scores will also be shoot No. 1 of 2010.
A catch-up shoot will be held later in the year. This will be open for discussion at the A.G.M.

There is no access to the site so unfortunately the shoot is cancelled.
